Académicos, empresarios y emprendedores, así como representantes de armadas y servicios meteorológicos, asistirán los días 5 y 6 de noviembre en Lisboa a un evento de dos días de duración en el que se examinará el uso de los datos por satélite para los interesados en el medio marino.
Los anfitriones del evento serán EUMETSAT, agencia europea de satélites meteorológicos, la Comisión Europea, la Agencia Espacial Europea, el Centro Europeo de Previsiones Meteorológicas a Plazo Medio y Mercator Ocean International.
Su objetivo es mostrar cómo se utilizan los datos de los satélites Sentinel de Copernicus en beneficio de organismos y empresas interesados en el medio marino, poner en contacto a usuarios de datos con competencias y conocimientos distintos y recibir comentarios sobre cómo satisfacer mejor las necesidades de los usuarios de datos ya existentes y potenciales.
El programa incluirá una serie de presentaciones, eventos para establecer contactos y talleres sobre temas como:
- El panorama de los datos marinos y la economía azul en Europa
- El programa Copernicus de la Unión Europea y su importancia para la comunidad marina
- Los ecosistemas y recursos vivos marinos
- Los datos marinos para las rutas de los buques, los pescadores, los informes sobre el clima y las energías renovables
