About Landcent
Landcent accelerates the fight against diseases of poverty, starting with malaria, by developing and delivering affordable, sustainable solutions, that are safe to use at scale.
Malaria is a disease caused by poverty and results in poverty. It is a vicious cycle that kills thousands every day, including a child under 5, every single minute. For almost a decade, cases of malaria have been on the rise, with 2022 recording an estimated 249M cases.
For Landcent, the issue of malaria elimination is as much a case of disease prevention as it is of justice. Contributing factors to the rise in malaria are growing insecticidal resistance and the lack of product innovation. Landcent tackles both issues head-on through its suite of products and solutions. Landcent is focused on the Sub-Saharan region which suffers 95% of all malaria cases worldwide. It is the region that records close to 96% of all deaths. With climate change and economic disparity further exacerbating the situation, the time to act is now.
Landcent looks forward to welcoming participants from around the world to join us in New York as we collaborate on advancing healthcare innovations, sustainability, and the critical role of indigenous knowledge in shaping a healthier future for all.
