Tufts University has been recognized again as one of the colleges and universities with the highest number of students selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. During the 2024-2025 academic year, 13 students from Tufts were selected for Fulbright awards and are currently studying and researching across the globe.

The U.S. government’s flagship international academic exchange program, the Fulbright U.S. Student program offers a year-long grant for students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals of all backgrounds for conducting research, attending a graduate program, or teaching English. The program is administered by the U.S. Department of State.

“I am delighted to see that both our university and our country are well-represented once again by this distinguished group of Tufts community members, in their wide-ranging pursuits as Fulbrighters,” said Cigdem Talgar, vice provost for education. “We are proud that these teachers and researchers—along with the many that have preceded them—recognize the importance of global citizenship in empowering us to tackle the challenges that we must confront as one world.”
