CULTIVATE project calls on stakeholders to share insights and help design its five Food Sharing Compass tools

The CULTIVATE Project is excited to announce the launch of a new survey designed to gather critical input from potential users of the forthcoming Food Sharing Compass. The survey will help guide the development of this innovative platform, ensuring it meets the needs of users across various sectors involved in food-sharing initiatives.

The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete and can be accessed through the following link: https://forms.office.com/e/VAxpQ0TiNB

The Food Sharing Compass is a comprehensive platform that provides access to five cutting-edge tools, designed to enhance and support sustainable food-sharing practices. These tools, developed through rigorous research and experts’ collaboration, aim to empower food-sharing initiatives, policymakers, and communities by offering practical solutions for improving food systems. Here is a brief description of each tool:
  • SHARECITY200 Database: An interactive digital map that locates and categorizes food-sharing initiatives across urban areas.
  • Food Sharing Calculator: A decision-support tool for food-sharing initiatives and investors, helping identify necessary investments and optimizing returns across social, economic, and environmental factors.
  • Menu of Good Governance: A policymaking support tool that offers comparative analysis and policy scenarios to address food-sharing challenges.
  • Library of Citizen Engagement: A collection of engagement mechanisms designed for both virtual and in-person community-building within the food-sharing sector.
  • Community of Practice Amplification Programme: A framework for replicating and scaling food-sharing activities, complete with training materials such as webinars, podcasts, and summary videos.

As the project works to finalize the development of this platform, the insights and feedback from potential users are essential to making sure the Compass is as effective and useful as possible. By participating in this survey, you will help shape the future of food sharing by providing guidance on the expectations and needs of the platform’s end users.

We would like to also encourage you to share this survey with others within your network who may be interested in providing their insights. By doing so, you will help CULTIVATE ensure the platform reflects the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders, making it an even more valuable resource for the food-sharing community.

AlphaGalileo has helped us more than double our reach at SciDev.Net. The service has enabled our journalists around the world to reach the mainstream media with articles about the impact of science on people in low- and middle-income countries, leading to big increases in the number of SciDev.Net articles that have been republished.
